ACT AGAINST CHILD ABUSE BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
BACKGROUND
As the Nirengi Association team, we believe that the sooner abused children are helped, the better chance they will have of repairing themselves and breaking the cycle of violence.
In our country, where one in three children is a victim of abuse, we focus on the fact that the repetitive nature of violence can be prevented by early intervention. By raising social awareness about the general signs of child abuse and what needs to be done to intervene, we can make a huge difference in a child’s life.
In addition, we recognize the need for a holistic and unifying understanding of systematic, multidisciplinary disciplines to prevent and deal with the consequences of child neglect and abuse. That’s why we are advocating to support the prevention of child neglect and abuse.
TRAININGS
We organize trainings on child neglect and abuse, peer bullying and intimate partner violence for school administrators, classroom teachers, parents and support personnel.
WORKSHOPS
We conduct advocacy activities within the scope of child protection.
COMMUNICATION MATERIALS
We develop different types of information sets (posts, videos, podcasts etc.) on child protection.
