REVISION of the CHILD PROTECTION MINIMUM STANDARDS in the HUMANITARIAN ACTION CONSULTATIVE WORKSHOP

BACKGROUND
The Child Protection Minimum Standards aim to ensure that measures to protect children are a central component of all humanitarian action.
Under the leadership of the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (ACHPA), work continued globally to revise the Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPS) so that the 2nd edition would be ready for use in late 2019. In this context, under the umbrella of the Alliance, the Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS) were revised through a series of consultation meetings held globally and a draft version 2 was developed (March 2018).
The Alliance called the Nirengi Association to conduct the Revision of the Child Protection Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Action Consultative Workshop, which is held with participation from CPiE sector related stakeholders. This is then it is reported to the Alliance.
The Nirengi Association is a member of the Alliance Child Protection in Humanitarian Action.
